Mike has dedicated 48 years to following Jesus, beginning with a life-changing encounter at the Baptist Student Convention in seventh grade. He earned a Bachelor’s in Agricultural Business and pursued graduate studies in Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from East Tennessee State University. Mike’s extensive career includes over a decade in public education as a science teacher and coach, complemented by more than 25 years in various ministry leadership roles. He has served as a student pastor, associate pastor, and campus pastor, deeply committed to guiding others to experience the transformative love of Jesus. Outside of ministry, Mike treasures time with his family, especially his nine grandchildren, and enjoys outdoor adventures with his wife, Kandice.
Jennifer Broyles is a wife and mother of 2 children, both of whom attend Farragut schools. She is a CPA, focusing primarily on taxes for small businesses and individuals. Jennifer attends the Farragut Campus of Faith Promise Church where she serves on the Prayer Team and is a Weekend Pastor. She is passionate about bringing a greater knowledge of Jesus and his depth of love for each individual to the students of Farragut High School.
Brian Bruce serves as a Senior Product Owner at Clayton Homes in Maryville, Tennessee, where he brings strategic vision and collaborative leadership to the digital properties responsible for development of modular and manufactured housing solutions. A dedicated husband and father, Brian and his wife have raised three children who attended Farragut High School, where he has volunteered for many years with the APAC program and has proudly served as the Public Address Announcer for the football team since 2009. His faith has been central to his life, having worshiped and served at First Baptist Concord for 16 years, and, for the past year, serving alongside his wife, Kristy, at Shoreline Church. When Brian is not serving his family, church or community, you can find him fly fishing, playing bass in the worship band or enjoying the Smokies.
Beth Duncan serves on staff at Farragut High School, where she invests daily in the lives of students through education and mentorship. As a board member of Anchor Learning Center, Beth offers a unique perspective from within the school community, helping to strengthen partnerships between ALC and local families. Her passion for seeing students grow academically and spiritually makes her an important advocate for the mission of Released Time Bible Education in Farragut.
Susan is the Women's Ministry Director at Christ Covenant Church, where she and her husband, Brad, have attended for over 20 years. Their two daughters attended Farragut schools, graduated from college, and continue to serve the Lord in their respective communities.
Susan had the distinct honor of representing the Farragut area on the Knox County Board of Education from 2016-2024. She is passionate about Biblical literacy and encouraging people to look to Jesus and the joy in an abiding relationship with Christ brings.
Dave Nichols serves as a pastor at Two Rivers Church in Knoxville, TN, where he is passionate about teaching God’s Word and helping people grow in their walk with Christ. As a board member of Anchor Learning Center, Dave brings both pastoral insight and community leadership to support the mission of expanding Released Time Bible Education. His heart for discipleship and commitment to the next generation make him a valued voice in guiding ALC’s vision and impact.
Michael's Farragut roots run deep. He was raised in Farragut and is currently raising his own family in Farragut. He spent his childhood playing CBFO Football, Basketball, and Baseball, as well as club, and USS Competitive Swimming. Michael graduated from Webb School of Knoxville, where he swam for the Tennessee State Championship Swim Team in 2002. His undergraduate degree in Logistics is from the University of Tennessee. He later obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law. After working in real estate development in the Chattanooga area for 3 years he returned to Knoxville as the managing attorney for Title Group of Tennessee, LLC and owner of law firm, Shope and Associates, PLLC. This has given him the opportunity to serve this area on the Board of Directors at the Anchor Learning Center with his expertise in law and business. He and his wife, Megan, an elementary educator at Concord Christian School, have been blessed with 3 children, Avie, Zeb and Eden.
Derek Wright serves as Principal at Graham & Cook Insurance, where he provides leadership in delivering personalized insurance solutions and building long-term client relationships. His passion for faith-based education and service drives his commitment to equipping the next generation with both spiritual and practical tools for life. Derek is passionate about Farragut High School, TopGolf, his family, and above all, making disciples for Jesus Christ.
